ALIQUIPPA, Pa., Nov. 5, 2026 — Two native Pennsylvanians are joining forces to offer thousands more commonwealth students access to an extensive menu of engaging learning assets, serving to expand student choice and boost academic outcomes.
Beaver County based Lincoln Learning Solutions and Capital Area Online Learning Association announced a partnership to offer more courses, tailored content options, and safe AI guidance to 15,000 students in 140 schools across 11 Pennsylvania Intermediate Units.
"CAOLA has a sterling reputation among its students, families, and communities in the Capital Region, and we are gratified to help them expand access to high-quality online learning opportunities," Lincoln Learning Solutions CEO, Bob Clements, said. "Empowering learners and educators with tools and support to achieve success is a mission we share."
Through the partnership, CAOLA will gain access to Lincoln Learning Solutions' pioneering, standards-aligned K-12 Lincoln Empowered curriculum, including core courses, electives, honors, credit recovery, and select NCAA-eligible options, in addition to its instructor and teacher services, and Lincoln AI Learning Assistant, a safe, curriculum-based tool giving age-appropriate lesson guidance.
"Our content offers CAOLA's team additional flexibility in building and supporting virtual learning programs while maintaining their laser focus on curriculum quality, student engagement, and responsiveness to their member partners," Clements said. "We'll also be collaborating with them to build for the future."
Breaking from the typical customer-vendor approach, the organizations will work in concert to develop curriculum enhancements, professional learning, and strategies for evolving educational frameworks.
"CAOLA was built on the belief that collaboration creates stronger opportunities for students, educators, and school districts," CAOLA Supervisor of Online Learning, Holly A. Coleman-Brzycki, said.
"Our partnership with Lincoln Learning Solutions expands the resources, supports, and learning options available to our member schools while allowing us to work alongside a trusted Pennsylvania-based organization that shares our commitment to educational excellence, innovation, and student success," she said.
Clements said the Lincoln team will benefit from CAOLA's practitioner perspective and direct understanding of what virtual schools, educators, and students need.
As Pennsylvania's largest online learning consortium, CAOLA's goal is to continue expanding options for its students. In addition to broader access to rigorous curriculum and supplemental content, the new partnership promises dynamic instructional and student-support options and more possibilities for districts to meet diverse student and program needs.
The announcement for Lincoln comes on the heels of new partnerships with educators in Indiana and Texas.
